Tie Breakers Report

The Tie Breakers Report displays the tie-breaker number assigned to each group in the competition. These numbers are used to resolve tied scores when two or more groups receive identical scores.

Accessing the Report

  1. Navigate to your event's competition
  2. Click Reports in the competition navigation
  3. Select Tie Breakers from the sidebar

How Tie Breakers Work

When groups have identical scores, the tie-breaker number determines final placement:

  • Lower tie-breaker number = Higher placement
  • Tie-breaker numbers are assigned sequentially based on when groups were added to the competition
  • Numbers remain stable unless groups are removed and re-added

The report is organized by division. Each division panel shows:

  • Division Name - Header identifying the division
  • Group Name - Each group in the division
  • Tie Breaker Number - The assigned tie-breaker value (displayed on the right)

Important Warning

The report displays this warning:

Tie Breakers May Change! Please note that as groups are added and/or removed from the event, the tie breakers will adjust. The general order will stay the same (unless a group is removed then re-added).

When Tie Breakers Change

  • Adding a new group assigns the next sequential number
  • Removing a group does not reassign existing numbers
  • Re-adding a previously removed group assigns a new (higher) number

Using the Report
