Managing Resource Sections
Sections help you organize resources into logical groups. Create custom sections to categorize files by purpose, event type, or any structure that works for your organization.
Default Section
Every organization has a General Resources section that cannot be removed. Use this for files that don't fit into a specific category, or if you prefer to keep all resources in one place.
Create a New Section
- Navigate to Resources from your organization's navigation menu
- Click Manage Sections below the section list
- Click Add Section in the popup
- Enter a Name for the section
- Click Save
The new section appears in the sidebar and is ready for file uploads.
Rename a Section
- Click Manage Sections below the section list
- Click on the section name you want to rename
- Edit the Name field
- Click Save
Reorder Sections
Change the order sections appear in the sidebar:
- Click Manage Sections below the section list
- Locate the sort handle (grip icon) next to the section name
- Click and drag the section to its new position
- Release to drop
The order saves automatically. General Resources always appears at the bottom and cannot be reordered.
Remove a Section
Delete a section you no longer need:
- Click Manage Sections below the section list
- Click on the section name you want to remove
- Click the Remove button (red, bottom-left)
- Confirm the removal
Important: When you remove a section, all files in that section move to General Resources. Files are not deleted.

Tips
- Be specific - Use clear, descriptive section names
- Limit sections - Too many sections can make navigation confusing
- Review regularly - Remove or consolidate sections that are rarely used
- Plan ahead - Think about how staff will search for files when naming sections
Access Requirements
You need Resource Manager access to create, edit, and remove sections. All organization members can view resources, but only Resource Managers can modify the section structure.
