Reviewing Commentary from Your Peers
Some organizations allow their judges to listen to commentary recorded by other judges on the same events. Reviewing your peers is a great way to hear how other judges phrase feedback, manage their time during a performance, and apply the scoring criteria.
Peer access is assigned to you by the organization — you can only review judges (and events) the organization has given you access to.
Access Peer Commentary
- Log into your CompetitionSuite account.
- Click one of your organizations under Judging.
- Click Peers at the top of the page.
- On the left, you will see the judges you can review, grouped by organization. Click a judge's name.
- The right side lists that judge's events by season. Click the button next to an event to open the commentary for that competition.
If the page says you haven't been assigned any peers, the organization has not set up peer review for your account. Contact your organization's administrator if you believe you should have access.
Listen to or Download Commentary
The commentary page lists every performance the judge scored, organized by division and round. Each performance shows the captions the judge recorded commentary for.
- Click the play icon next to a caption to stream the commentary in your browser.
- Click the download icon to save the audio file to your device.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why don't I see a particular event? Only past events where your peer judged appear in the list. Upcoming events and training events are not included.
Can my peers see my commentary too? Only if the organization has assigned you to them as a peer. Peer review works one direction at a time — being able to review a judge does not automatically let that judge review you.
