Critique Signup
The Critique Signup tab allows you to register for a post-performance feedback session with judges. Critique sessions provide an opportunity for your group to receive detailed verbal feedback on your performance.
Accessing Critique Signup
- Navigate to Events > Upcoming Events
- Find the event you want to register for
- Click the Critique Signup tab
Tab Availability
The Critique Signup tab appears when:
- The event organizer has enabled critique signup
- You have Critique Signup permission for your group
Tip: Staff members with Administrator access automatically have Critique Signup permission.
If the tab is grayed out, you don't have permission to sign up. Contact your group administrator to request access.
Understanding Critique Times
The event organizer sets up specific time slots for critique sessions. Each time slot shows:
- Time - When the critique session takes place
- Available Slots - Open positions where you can register
- Registered Groups - Groups that have already signed up for that slot
Time slots are organized by division, so you'll only see times available for your competitive division.
Registering for Critique
To sign up for a critique time:
- Review the available time slots
- Find a slot with an open position (shows a Register button)
- Click Register to claim that spot
Your group's name will appear in the slot, and you'll see a Cancel button next to it.
Important: Each group can only register for one critique time per event. Once you register, the Register buttons on other time slots will disappear.
Your Registration
After registering:
- Your group's name appears in the time slot
- Your row is highlighted in orange for easy identification
- A Cancel button appears next to your name
Canceling Your Registration
If you need to change or cancel your critique signup:
- Find your registered time slot
- Click the Cancel button next to your group's name
After canceling, you can register for a different time slot if one is available.
Signup Status
When Signup Is Open
You'll see instructions at the top:
Critique is being offered for your division at the following time(s). Please register by clicking Register in an open slot.
When Signup Is Closed
When the registration deadline has passed, you'll see a warning banner:
Critique Signup Closed! Critique signup is closed as of [date/time]!
You cannot register or cancel after the deadline.
No Times Available
If you see:
There are no critique times set up for your division. Please contact the host organization for more information.
This means the event organizer hasn't created critique times for your division. They may not be offering critique for all divisions, or setup may still be in progress.
Group Not Added to Event
If you see:
Your group is registered to compete, but has not been added to the event. Critique signup is only available for groups that are competing in the event. Please check back later or contact the host organization for more information.
This means your registration hasn't been imported into the event yet. Once the organizer adds your group to the competition, critique signup will become available.
Status Indicators
The Critique Signup tab displays an icon to indicate your status:

| Green checkmark | Your group is registered for critique |
| Yellow warning triangle | Your group is not registered for critique |
Slot Conflicts
If you try to register for a slot and see the message:
It looks like someone registered for the last spot while you were on the page. Please select another slot!
This means another group claimed the last spot in that time slot while you were viewing the page. Choose a different time slot with available openings.
