Combined Recap
The Combined Recap feature allows you to view scores from multiple divisions or rounds on a single recap sheet. This is useful for creating aggregate reports, comparing performances across divisions, or preparing announcements that span multiple classes.
When to Use Combined Recap
Combined Recap is helpful when you need to:
- View overall competition standings across all divisions
- Create a single document showing multiple class results
- Compare scores between divisions
- Prepare announcements for award ceremonies covering multiple classes
Creating a Combined Recap
- Navigate to Score Preview in your competition
- Click View Combined Recap in the top-left area of the page
- Select the divisions and/or rounds you want to include
- Click View Combined Recap
The combined recap opens in a new browser tab.
Selecting Divisions and Rounds
Single-Round Divisions
For divisions with only one round, simply check the box next to the division name.
Multi-Round Divisions
For divisions with multiple rounds (such as Prelims and Finals):
- The division name appears as a header
- Each round is listed below with its own checkbox
- Select the specific rounds you want to include
You can select any combination of divisions and rounds.
Understanding the Combined Recap
The combined recap displays all selected divisions together, with:
- Division/round headers separating each section
- Performances listed in rank order within each division
- Consistent formatting across all sections
- A shared base round for calculations (automatically determined)
Best Practices
For Award Ceremonies
- Select Finals rounds (not Prelims) for final standings
- Include only the divisions being announced
- Keep the recap open during announcements for reference
For Administrative Reports
- Include all rounds to see complete competition results
- Use browser print functionality to create a PDF
- Combine with screenshots for comprehensive records
Limitations
- The feature requires at least one division with groups assigned
- Very large combinations may take longer to load
Solo & Ensemble Events
Combined Recap is not available for Solo & Ensemble format events. The View Combined Recap button does not appear on the Score Preview page for these competitions.
This limitation exists because Solo & Ensemble competitions use a different scoring model where:
- Performances receive ratings rather than comparative rankings
- Groups are not ranked against each other in the traditional sense
- Combined standings across divisions are not typically meaningful
For Solo & Ensemble events, view individual division recaps through the standard Preview Recap option, or use the Reports section for aggregate data.
