Score Release Overview
The Score Release feature gives you precise control over when and to whom competition scores become visible. Whether you're managing a live event, coordinating with announcers, or providing scores to groups after the competition, Score Release puts you in charge.
Accessing Score Release
- Navigate to your organization
- Select the event from your event list
- Click the competition name
- Select Score Release from the competition menu
Score Release Sub-features
The Score Release area contains three tools:
| Feature | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Score Release | Control who can view scores (groups, judges, public, API) |
| Announcer Script | Generate formatted scripts for reading scores aloud |
| TV Display | Manage live score displays on monitors or screens |
Understanding Access Levels
Score Release allows you to grant or revoke access to different audiences:
- Groups - The performers who competed can see their own scores
- Judges - Judges can review the full recap after competition
- Public - Anyone with the recap link can view scores
- Programmatic (API) - Third-party applications can retrieve scores
Prerequisites
Score Release requires:
- An activated event - Payment must be provided to enable score releasing
- Non-training event - Training events do not support score release
- Groups assigned - At least one group must be added to the competition
Event Tier Limitations
Bronze level events (Solo & Ensemble) have limited score release options. Full score release functionality, including public recaps and judge recaps, is available only on Silver and Gold tier events.
Score Release History
Every score release action is logged automatically. The history includes:
- Who made the change (name and email)
- When the change occurred
- What access was granted or revoked
- Which division and round was affected
This audit trail helps you track exactly when scores were released during your event.
