Performance Music Setup

The Performance Music Setup section controls whether groups can upload their performance music files and sets the upload deadline.

Accessing Performance Music Setup

1. Navigate to your Organization > Events > select your Event
2. Click Setup in the event navigation
3. Click Performance Music Setup in the sidebar

Note: This option only appears for events with group types that support performance music (marching bands, color guards, etc.). It is disabled for Solo and Ensemble events.

Settings

Allow Performance Music

Toggle music uploads on or off:

Allow Uploads Until

Set the deadline for music file uploads:

1. Click the date/time picker
2. Select the cutoff date
3. Choose the cutoff time
4. Groups cannot upload after this deadline

Tip: Set the deadline at least 24-48 hours before the event to allow time for verification.

Saving Settings

1. Configure your options
2. Click Save Performance Music Setup
3. Verify the confirmation message

How It Works

When enabled:

1. Groups see the event in their Performance Music section
2. They can upload audio files for their performance
3. Files are stored and accessible to announcers
4. After the deadline, uploads are locked

Accessing Uploaded Music

Organization staff access uploaded music through:

• Event > Performance Music (for event-wide view)
• Announcer > Performance Music (during the event)

Disabled State

Performance Music Setup is disabled when:

• The event is a Training event
• The event is Solo and Ensemble type
• The group type doesn't support performance music

You'll see a grayed-out option in the sidebar for disabled events.

Common Scenarios

Extending the Deadline

If a group needs more time to upload:

1. Go to Performance Music Setup
2. Change the "Allow Uploads Until" date/time
3. Save changes
4. The new deadline takes effect immediately

Disabling Mid-Event

If you need to stop accepting uploads:

1. Change "Allow Performance Music" to No
2. Save changes
3. Existing uploads remain accessible
4. Groups can no longer upload new files

Re-enabling Uploads

If uploads were disabled but need to resume:

1. Set "Allow Performance Music" to Yes
2. Ensure the deadline is in the future
3. Save changes
4. Groups can resume uploading
