Past Events Overview
The Past Events page allows group staff to access historical performance data including judge commentary, scores, recaps, and performance videos from previous competitions.
Accessing Past Events
- Navigate to your Group from the dashboard
- Click Events in the top navigation menu
- Select a year under Past Events in the left sidebar
Page Layout
Year Navigation
The left sidebar displays all years in which your group has competed. Click any year to view events from that season.

Performance Cards
Each past performance is displayed as a panel containing:

| Header | Organization initials, event name, and competition name |
| Date/Location | When and where the event took place |
| Commentary List | Available judge commentary and notes |
| Footer Actions | Links to scores, recaps, and videos |
Available Features
Audio Commentary
When audio commentary is available:
- Play button - Listen to commentary directly in the browser
- Download button - Save commentary audio files to your device
The audio player appears at the top of the page when you click play. It displays the event name and judge information for the currently playing commentary.
Judge Notes
Some judges provide written notes in addition to audio commentary. These appear below the judge's name when available.
Score Summary
Click View Score Summary to see a detailed breakdown of your scores including:
- Category and caption scores
- Individual judge scores
- Total score and placement
Recap
Click View Recap to see the full competition recap sheet. This link is only available if the event organizer has published the recap to groups.
Performance Video
If your performance was recorded and the organization has made it available:
- Play Video - Watch the performance video in a popup player
- Download Video - Save the video file to your device
Video downloads may be limited by the event organizer (e.g., maximum number of downloads).
Understanding Availability
Not all features are available for every performance. What you see depends on what the event offered and what has been made available to groups.
Unavailable Features
- Gray icons indicate a feature exists but isn't available yet
- Missing links indicate the feature wasn't enabled for that event
- "View Recap" grayed out means the recap hasn't been published yet
If you're missing commentary, scores, or videos that you expected to see, contact your circuit or event host for assistance.
Audio Player Controls
When playing commentary:

| Play/Pause | Start or pause playback |
| Progress bar | Scrub to any point in the recording |
| Volume | Adjust playback volume |
| Download | Save the audio file |
The player remains fixed at the top of the page so you can scroll through performances while listening.
Empty State
If you see "There are no past events!", this may mean:
- Your group hasn't competed at any events yet
- You're viewing a year with no performance data
- Your group's performances haven't been scored yet
Select a different year from the sidebar or contact your organization if you believe data is missing.
